HALLOWEEN🎃

Halloween becomes a truly magical experience! At Neighborhood Friends, a place full of laughter, learning and fun, we celebrate this holiday in a unique and special way.

At our daycare, Halloween is much more than costumes and candy. It is a time to encourage the creativity and imagination of the little ones. We encourage them to create their own costumes, decorate pumpkins, and participate in exciting themed activities.

In this warm and welcoming environment, children immerse themselves in a fantasy world and become their favorite characters. From princesses and superheroes to witches and adorable monsters, each child finds their own role in this Halloween story.

In addition to artistic activities, we also organize exciting games and outdoor activities. Children enjoy trick-or-treating on our decorated playground, where they receive treats and smiles from our friendly teachers.

The history of Halloween in the United States dates back to European settlers who came to America in the 16th century. They brought with them their traditions and beliefs, including the Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of summer and the beginning of winter.

Over time, Samhain customs merged with traditions from other cultures, such as the Catholic celebration of All Saints’ Day. This gave rise to a new holiday that combined elements of superstition, folklore and religion.

As time went by, Halloween became a more communal and festive holiday. In the 19th century, Irish immigrants brought with them the tradition of trick-or-treating, where children would go door to door asking for candy or getting into mischief. This custom quickly caught on and became an integral part of the Halloween celebration in the United States.

Over time, Halloween became a more commercialized holiday. Carved pumpkins, known as “Jack-o’-lanterns,” became an iconic symbol of the holiday. The houses and streets were decorated with lights, fake cobwebs and spooky figures, creating a festive and scary atmosphere.

Today, Halloween in the United States is a highly anticipated holiday for both children and adults. It is celebrated with costume parades, theme parties, horror movies and visits to haunted houses. It is an opportunity to let your imagination fly, be creative and enjoy the magic of the night.
